Just a Tutorial i made in a few hours to show some of the key atributes to getting high dps with an arcane mage. At time of composition wow is currently 4.1 but taking the current 4.2 ptr patch notes into consideration everything is still on course for being valid in 4.2. I was basically a zombie because i started this late at night and ended up dubbing it in the early morning with no script so if there are any errors in my speaking ill need to actually script something instead of just spitballing as i go. To make it perfectly clear this video was literally thrown together in about 4 hours and as a result parts took a severe beating on the cutting floor based on importance and common sense (didn’t have time to discuss mage armor for example even tho its vital) to hit the 10 minute mark for youtube. It is by far not the min-max guide people seem to infer it is. Of all the nit picking in the comments no one seems to notice the massive down side when min-max to this being that it does not utilise a correct conservation rotation that can get rather complex due to scaling at different gear levels. for true efficiency see elitistjerks.com and tinyurl.com (neither of those are my work). this guide is simply intended to get specific people off the ground and into a foundation to start raiding. A real total hand held arcane mage tutorial would take much much longer than 10 minutes (you could probably talk for 10 minutes about use trinkets and with shorter cooldowns + incanters …
